The Public Hearing on the leasing of a John Deere Loader was the first order of business. John Roberts Highway superintendent wants to lease the John Deere Loader from Five Star Equipment. Carl Mason from Fives Star Equipment was not able to attend the meeting. There was very little discussion over the John Deere pay loader with the bucket. There was no public comment. Town Board reviewed the John Deere Sheet from Five Star on the John Deere pay loader. The bottom line price from Five Star was $131,270.00 as reflected on the sheet to lease the loader.
Steuben Town Board came out of the public hearing and continued with the recessed meeting at 7:38 pm.

Patrick Nolan has been working for the Town 6 months as of 8/13/12, next month billed for 2 months of insurance.
The comments and opinions from the Town Attorney had been given to the Town Board on Purposed Local Law 1 ‘ known as the ‘Town of Steuben Residential Buildings and Structures Law.' On questions that the Town Board had. Town Board discussed minimum lot size of 1 ½ acres for residential building. We do have non conforming lots already in the Town. We do have State Codes that the Code Enforcement Officers follow for the Town . Town Board would like to see the purposed law simplified and reworded and turned back over to the Planning Board to be reviewed and worked on.
John Ferro has property part in Remsen and part in Steuben; his house is in Remsen. The town of Remsen abandoned the Road in 1949. John Ferro wants Steuben to take over Remsen's abandoned side. Remsen has half the bridge and Steuben has the other half of the bridge. Half way across that bridge is a turn around. Tow Town Supervisor will ask the Town Attorney about the Bridge on Llewellyn Road.
A motion was made by Councilman Rotach and seconded by Councilwoman Broadbent to accept the Town Clerk's report as corrected. Carried. Ayes: Rotach, Broadbent, Dean, and Landman. Absent: Finn. Town Clerk had problems with mouse on her computer.
